Yawm × قلب
Privacy Policy
Your data stays on your device.
Always.

خُلَاصَة

Yawm × Qalb stores everything locally on your device. Nothing you write, reflect on, or record is ever sent anywhere. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third parties with access to your data.

01 What we collect

Nothing. Yawm × Qalb does not collect personal information of any kind.

Your check-ins, heart scores, reflections, tawbah entries, du'as, tasks, and practice history are stored in your device's local database. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to any server, is not shared with any third party, and is not accessible to anyone except you.

No accounts or sign-in required
No data transmitted to any server
No third-party data sharing
No cloud storage of your journal
All data stored locally on your device only
02 Location

If you use the automatic prayer time feature, the app requests your device location to calculate accurate prayer times for your coordinates. Your location is used only for this calculation.

It is not stored beyond the prayer time result, not transmitted to any server, and not shared with anyone. Location access is entirely optional — prayer times can be set manually without ever granting location permission.

03 Analytics and tracking

None. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising network, and no tracking of any kind.

Your usage of the app — which features you use, how often you open it, what you write — is not monitored, measured, or reported anywhere.

No analytics (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
No crash reporting services
No advertising networks
No behavioral tracking
04 Data storage and security

All app data is stored in IndexedDB — your device's local database — within your browser or app sandbox. It is subject to your device's own security: screen lock, Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption all apply.

We have no access to this data and no ability to retrieve or restore it if lost. Because data lives only on your device, it is your responsibility to back it up. The app's export feature lets you save a complete copy of your practice history at any time from Settings.

05 Third parties

Yawm × Qalb uses one external service: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap's reverse geocoding API), called only when you choose to auto-detect your location for prayer times. This call sends your GPS coordinates to Nominatim's servers to return a city name. No identifying information beyond the coordinates is sent, and no data is stored by the app from this call.

OpenStreetMap's privacy policy applies to this request: openstreetmap.org/privacy

Arabic and Latin fonts are loaded from Google Fonts when the app opens. Google's font service receives a standard network request. Google Fonts privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

06 Children

Yawm × Qalb is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly — though given the app collects no data, this is not a realistic scenario.

07 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes meaningfully, the update will be noted with a new date at the top of this page. Because we collect no data, changes would only reflect new features that alter how local storage works or introduce a genuinely new data practice — which we would communicate clearly.
